SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

Offshore Development

We offer high quality Offshore Development capabilities to our client base in Africa, Europe, USA and Canada. Our time-zone overlap with Europe allows for excellent collaboration and highly interactive extreme development techniques. While USA and Canada are sleeping, we are at our most productive, producing new functionality and bug-fixes ready for them when they get to work. With world class communication infrastructure, we regularly do Skype and tele-conferences, and being English, we are all easy to understand.

Production Offshoring

Custom developed or bespoke software products offshoring (or nearshoring) involves relocation of physical development processes to a lower-cost destination. Kaizania, located in South Africa, provides this opportunity to Software Development Houses and internal development divisions of corporates in Africa, Europe, USA and Canada. With our Agile process and Scrum framework, we deliver product components every two weeks, tested and ready to integrate. With a unique costing model, our highly productive teams represent great value for money!

Development Outsourcing

We offer well run low risk project based development services. Where companies do not have the internal capacity or inclination to establish such capacity, we offer either the skilled resources for them to manage, or a fixed price turnkey project, we can even provide a dedicated project team, on a “pay as you go” basis- we call it “fixed-bid Scrum”. In South Africa, we are considered “BEE Compliant” and offer 100% recognition of spend for projects outsourced to us.

In-house

We have a preference to do projects “In-house”. This implies that a customer will give us either a project scope definition, or a requirements definition document that we convert into a product backlog, and using our own staff, office, equipment and tools, we will develop the solution. We will then supply a turn-key solution and assist the client to implement and put it in production. Our “Software Factory” runs in a pleasant environment where we leave no stone unturned to enhance team cohesion, facilitate communication, increase productivity and produce uncompromised quality. We often accommodate a client appointed Product Owner on site, integrating him/her into the team to ensure immediate turn-around times for decisions and guidance. With our Agile process and Scrum framework, this model is great for our staff and allow us to develop their career and remain on top of things throughout the project, and using tools like Microsoft TFS and Version One, everything we do is visible to the customer. We often (but not always) will engage in a maintenance agreement to ensure the longevity of such a solution.

On-site

Where a company has a temporary resource shortage, we can supply the people with the required skill to augment his staff. This can be either key individuals or complete project teams. Typically our staff will be highly skilled not only in their chosen technology domain, but will be accustomed to adhering to the Agile principles and Scrum.

Project Intervention

Do you have a software development project in trouble? Kaizania has been repeatedly engaged to “rescue” troubled software projects, resulting in a successful project and satisfied customer every time. We review project management and software development processes, review system architecture, code, performance/scalability and also provide the experienced staff needed to get he job done across all aspects of the software engineering discipline, and systems delivery life cycle (SDLC).
